"Good job, Edward! I don't think I would have made it without your help!" Now outside of the building was a horde of soldiers escorting the other captives outside. (Y/N) was now in her father's lap as Edward was standing in front of her with a small smile.
"Don't give me too much credit, Miss. I think you had everything under control. You were like a soldier facing off against the world in there!" Edward exclaimed as a light blush spread across his cheeks. (Y/N) smiled down at him, her eyes becoming less mature. "False, I didn't even know if this plan was going to work. You getting out yes, but me no. I knew that you were going to get my father in time, but I didn't know if I could control my magic to be able to defeat them when they had a clear advantage over me, you can say it was pure luck." (Y/N) laughed, though her eyes held slight worry.
"By the way, are you hurt? Sorry, I couldn't ask you this earlier, but I was kinda busy." (Y/N) chuckled awkwardly. Edward didn't feel mad at her, quite the opposite, he actually felt all fuzzy inside instead.
"No need to apologize, Miss, you were just trying to protect everyone else in there." Edward reassured her making her posture relaxing. Looking around the crowded road she couldn't find his mother who had long blue hair and black eyes. "By the way, Edward, but where is your mother?" (Y/N) asked him, her eyes still looking around to try and spot the women who always stood out like a highlighter in gray colors.
Edward froze and let out an awkward chuckle. "Not sure, last time I saw my mother she was out picking some carrots for a stew." Edward responded without any sign of caring in his eyes. (Y/N) saw this but must have decided to ignore it due to him maybe not seeing the urgency of the situation.
"Maybe you can stay with us until we find your mother, right dad?" (Y/N) looked up at her dad, her eyes pleading. Luke sighed and smiled down at her gently as he smoothed out her hair. "Sure, my diamond, though once we find his mother we give him to her immediately, understood?" Luke raised his eyebrow at her as (Y/N) rapidly shook her head up and down.
"Understood, dad!" (Y/N) replied happily as she went to go down, but her father immediately tightened his hold on her and stared down at her sternly. "Sorry, my diamond, but we don't know if we can trust him yet no matter what he has done. I hope you can understand, Edward." Luke looked back down at Edward with a stern gaze.
Edward nodded sternly as maturity took over his playful eyes. "I understand, General Luke." He responded. Though he couldn't deny that he felt a slight pain in his chest. Not being able to be near to his warrior? Preposterous.
(Y/N) looked over at Edward and her father multiple times before timidly smiling down at Edward. "So, where do you live? I think your mother might just be there." (Y/N) gave them her thoughts as Luke nodded proudly at her. "I suppose we should." Now, the guards followed the young boy towards the more shabby place of the village.
The deeper they got into the neighborhood the tighter Luke's hold was on (Y/N). Looking in front of her (Y/N) could see Edward walking around without seeming to have to think about where to go as if it was second nature to him.
"Edward, are you sure this is where you live?" (Y/N) questioned him, though Edward just glanced back at her and smiled before looking back forward. "I'm sure, I've been walking these streets for as long as I could walk so I know my way to my house pretty well." Edward responded, and there ended the conversation.
'I'm sure he lived in the richer side of the city. He was the son of the most prestigious boutique known to Oden, so why is he living here? Oh, I see now, his mother's clothing has still not been recognized yet for her making should be worn by Aysima in about two years.' (Y/N) though to herself, realization coming over her senses.
"Here we are! Home sweet home!" Edward exclaimed and ran towards the wooden door and sprung it open and went inside. The guards looked at each other and back at their general as they saw him hold up his hand and walk inside the run-down house following behind the excited boy.
(Y/N) looked around the house and saw the amount of dedication to make it look the best it could. Flowers in vases were everywhere as it gave off a flowery aroma making (Y/N) feel a bit dizzy but just shrugged it off and looked back at where Edward was now looking.
Closing the bedroom door Edward appeared with a frown on his face with worry. "That's weird, mother is usually in her room if she is not outside. Now, where can she be...?" Edward whispered to himself, though his attention was now brought back to the back door and saw his mother with a pale face as tears were coming down her cheeks and onto her clothing.
Both of them stared at each other for a while until Edward's mother made the first move and ran forward onto Edward and clung to him tightly as tears were now wetting the dirty clothes of the boy.
"Edward, oh Edward! I have been so worried! Dont ever run off like that, ever again! You here me?" Though her threats could be seen as much as a threat due to the constant sobbing coming from the relieved yet worried mother.
Both Luke and (Y/N) looked at the hugging mother and son and felt awkward for they had no reason as to why they should be in this precious moment, so Luke decided to do something about it.
"Miss Ayaan, I'm sorry to disturb this precious moment but I and my daughter will be leaving now so please excuse us." Luke bowed down slightly and turned around to walk back outside, but a feeling on his leg stopped him and looked back down and saw the woman grasping onto his leg as she was now kneeling onto the floor showing the most respect someone could.
"Your grace, thank you so much for bringing back my son, for that I will give you my life." The mother announced and kissed his foot which is the sign of the highest loyalty, the loyalty of her life.
Luke looked blankly at the woman and shook off her hold and walked away. (Y/N) turned her head around and waved goodbye to them both with a bright smile. "Goodbye, Edward! Goodbye, Miss Ayaan!" (Y/N) exclaimed and went back to her original position.
Getting inside the parked carriage (Y/N) was still on top of her father's lap and peered outside the open window as a meadow could be seen not too far away.
"Diamond, how would you like their death?" Quickly turning around in surprise (Y/N) saw her father with a calm expression as he happily smiled down upon her. (Y/N) was baffled, what does he mean by that?
"Father, what do you mean by that?" (Y/N) asked him, though Luke just smiled more at her. "Those idiots who dared to capture you and everyone involved, how would you like for me to kill them? Execution? Torture? Getting killed by being burned?" Luke went on and on about the options giving (Y/N) creeps.
Holding onto his outstretched hand as he tried to explain how someone takes off someone's skin. "Dad, I don't think that would be necessary, just do the least painful and merciful option that you had." (Y/N) sweatdropped as she saw her father's disappointed face.
"Then I will have them beheaded. Though, I do have to say something quite important, what would you like for your birthday present to be?" Silence enveloped the two as it took a moment for the information to seek in onto the (H/C)-haired girl. Then, a surprised shriek could be heard from the little girl.
'Hold on just an unholy second there karma, that's going to be the real event where my life will truly be on the line! Though why so soon?! Abaddon Chaim, I know you will try to kill me, but I will not let you have such satisfaction.' (Y/N) thought to herself, and this marked the start of her now hell-ish training.
